The ALS Centre is a referral Institution in Italy for diagnosis and care of patients with ALS and other motor neuron diseases. Research activities are mainly focused on genetics of ALS, stem cell therapeutics, and functional studies on pathogenetic mechanisms of disease. The ALS Centre is also involved in clinical research aiming at biomarker identication (neuroradiological, neurophysiological, and CSF) and clinical trials.
