The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) is the tertiary referral center for neurological and genetic disease in Cyprus. The CING offers both outpatients and inpatients care with respect to neurological disorders. CING consists of six clinical departments (Neuropathology, Neurobiology, Neuroimmunology, Neuroepidemiology, Neuroscience and the Clinical Genetics and Genomics departments). There are also seven biomedical science departments (Biochemical genetics, Cardiovascular, genetics and the laboratory of forensic genetics, Cytogenetics and Genomics, Cancer genetics, therapeutics and ultrastructural pathology, Molecular genetics, Function and Therapy, Molecular Genetics and Thalassemia, Neurogenetics and Molecular Virology departments). In addition, there is also the Biostatistics Unit and the Bioinformatics Department.
