A group of ALS researchers, many of whom are represented in EuroMotor, have been successful in applying for funding from the EU Joint Programme in Neurodegeneration (JPND).

The consortium with the acronym STRENGTH (standing for Suvival, Trigger and Risk, Epigenetic, eNvironmental and Genetic Targets for motor neuron Health) aims to find risk and modifying factors for ALS by combining existing data in new ways, and specifically, within subtypes of ALS.

A key factor in the success of the bid was the ability to build on the expertise and success of EuroMotor, and both add value to each other. You can read more about STRENGTH here:
